Conclusions:
The Mayo prognostic scoring system does stratify pts into categories with differing tumor outcomes when applied to patients salvaged by radiotherapy and adjuvant hormones. In the Ottawa experience the addition of short term adjuvant hormones to salvage radiotherapy has improved outcomes compared to those reported with radiotherapy alone thus meriting confirmation or refutation in randomized trial.
